A house was erected on the lot in 1903/04 for Frederick Burwell and occupied by James Burwell, an architect. The house was demolished after 2004. Description: Single storey rendered and terracotta tile half timbered gabled roofed and tall brick chimney with corbelling, house. Statement of Significance: The place is an example of a rendered residence representing the expansion of Fremantle in the gold boom period of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The place contributes to a substantially intact late nineteenth and early twentieth century streetscape close to the centre of Fremantle.
