Historic -the first homestead in the Ongerup area. John and Jean Moir were considered to be the pioneers of this district.
Wyoming is situated near the Warperup Creek crossing. The house took five years to build and buried beneath the house is a capsule containing newspapers of the day. The house is built of stone from the property, all tuckpointed. Inside features stamped metal ceilings with outside wash house. The house has been empty since 1969 and has been recommended to the National Trust.
