26090 Holland/Forrest Street Heritage Area
49 Holland Street is a single storey masonry and tile house constructed as a simple variation of the Inter-War Californian Bungalow style of Architecture. The walls are painted rendered brick. The roof is hipped and gabled and tile clad. The porch sits under a separate gable roof and is supported by masonry piers and has a masonry balustrade. The gable has timber battens. A face brick chimney is evident. The place has a rendered masonry front boundary fence and steel gate.
The house is on part of Lot 1018. It was vacant with several different owners for many years. By 1939 a house had been built and was owned and occupied by Cyril and Daisy Nind. They lived there until at least 1949 (when post office directory records cease).
