The site of the wreck of the ‘Deadwater’ has cultural heritage significance as an early shipwreck site.
No surface physical evidence remains.
This site is where the ‘Deadwater’ met its ill sinking fate with the wreck disappearing completely in 1914. Prior to the incident, famous explorer ships, the ‘Naturaliste’ and the ‘Geographe’, also visited it.
Archaeological evidence may remain.
