The house on the corner of Glyde Road and Slaughter Street has local significance for its role in the settlement of the town. It is a good example of simple style and construction of its era.
A small timber framed and weather-board cottage with a corrugated iron roof. The gable roof extends to cover an open verandah to the west which is supported on timber posts. There is a central entry door with timber framed casement windows each side. The north and south sides are clad with fibro.
Built as rental property by the Housing Trust about 1931. Families known to have occupied the house are the Knapps (1950), Laurie Mason (1968), Alan Casey and the present owners, Antonio (1969) (Source: Local knowledge).
Integrity: Fair Modifications: Enclosed verandahs added to the north and south
