The building forms part of the remnant building stock which make up the historic town's fabric.
A single storey weatherboard and iron house probably built circa 1920. House has a straight pitched hipped roof with a central gable over entrance, timber verandah with exposed rafters, double hung sash windows each with 4 narrow side window panels. The house has been extended and modified.
Built for a widow. Later purchased by Dr A. D. Stewart for his daugher, Mrs Kathleen Rundell.
