The church represents associations with the site since 1 £24, and a sense of place for the events and ceremonies that have taken place.
Brick construction with a steep pitch gable roof clad with tiles.
In 1924, the Catholic community decided to build a new church in the new townsite of Bolgart, having till that time used the Agricultural Hall. In 1931, the timber framed and clad church was constructed. The first priest to conduct services was Father Felix from the Wyening Mission. Father Ted O'Halloran followed, until he enlisted in the army when World War Two began. He later returned to Bolgart when it became part of the Goomalling parish. The original church served tne Catholic Community until 1960, when the existing church was built. Father Michael Cave was the Parish Priest instrumental in organising the building. A wheat drive raised two thirds of the funds for the building before construction began.
