The original Mingenew Police Station, the building has been in continual use since construction in 1898 though the Police Stations and Court have been replaced by a new building. It is esteemed by the people of Mingenew, where few remaining buildings date from the nineteenth century
Originally Police Station as well as a residence, the building is now used as Police Quarters only. Built with rough stone walls and a corrugated iron roof, a lean to back verandah with cement floor has been added and also a garage. The assessment applies to the exterior of the house only and does not include the additions.
