Demonstrates a way of life for the early settlers in Quairading.
The 1927 house was a weatherboard and timber framed construction which was relocated from Kalgoorlie. A number of additions and alterations have taken place.
Le Cornu took up the selection in 1905, and sold the developed 750 acres to Shenton in 1912. EW (Eric) Shenton and his family settled, and the place was named after Eric's father's South Perth foreshore home of thie same name. The Shenton's was the gathering place for members of the Presbyterian church, and services were held there for many years. The shearing shed rafters are from the Quairading Hall which was refurbished in 1934
