Statement of Significance

The place is significant in demonstrating the continued community focus of social and recreational community activities in Wannamal, and for the associations with tennis since the 1930s.

Physical Description

Tennis courts: four anthill courts. Hall : Steel framed and colorbond clad structure with a gable roof.

History

The new Wannamal Community Hall replaced the former hall as a community facility in Wannamal. The new hall was built on the same site as the tennis courts which were constructed by members of the community in the 1930s. Tennis was a popular social activity.
