Built by a German company who accepted Mr Arnott's tender of 7563 pounds. The Palace Hotel was made from local brick and has a stained glass window in the stairwell. Jarrah staircase and dining room furniture are still in use, The building is two storey with wide handsome verandah's, and has stamp metal ceilings. The hotel has always been in use and is still in its original state and renovations took place in 1995 starting with the dining room. In 1996 balcony timbers were repaired and replaced.
190] Gotdfields Club was built. Hie building was sold in 1906 lo W J Emmelt. 1907 the club was demolished to make way foe the Palace Hotel.
Integrity: A large amount is stiil original, balcony replaced in 1996. Modifications: None
