The Carrawidgee Reserve Rock Hole has some historic significance as a watering point for the local community.
The rock hole is located on the south side of the Carnamah-Perenjori Road approximately eight kilometres west of the town in the Carrawidgee Reserve. It consists of a hole in a rocky outcrop which acts as a water collection area. The rock hole contains water for about 10 months of the year.
The Carrawidgee (or Carrawidgie) Bore was sunk in early 1912. The bore was 12 metres deep with 2 metres of water. Supply was good but the quality only fair. It is recorded as Bore AA249. Subsequent use is not recorded. (Source: Cannon, E.S., "Golden Opportunities", p.65)
