Situated about 3km west of the turnoff to Quindanning, the entrance to the race course is on the north of the Harvey/Quindanning Road. A rusty iron gate marks the entrance and evidence of sleeper uprights with a v cut at the top indicates part of the complex.
Horse racing was a popular sport during the last quarter of the 19th Century and continued on in the early years of the 20th Century. Large crowds (comprising most of the district's population) gathered on these occasions. The longevity of the club is not known, but on 2 October 1908 Mrs Eliza Farmer, licensee of the Quindanning Hotel, was granted a special licence to operate the bar at the meeting of the Quindanning Race Club.
