This home was a progressive Modern style house when built in the 1950s. It has been transformed into a local landmark by the artist/owner by the application of mosaic and other art.
Modernism home of the 1950s. Flat roof and clean horizontal and vertical lines. Ironwork gate of multi-sized circles. Owner and visual artist Evie Ferrier has covered almost every surface, externally and internally, with mosaics composed of cast-off crockery etc. A sculpture graces the roof of the carport. Set in garden with palm trees. Streetscape includes variety of medium to large homes.
