Brick cottage with corrugated iron gable roof and skillion extension to the rear. The verandah extending across the front has a separate roof supported on full height wooden posts. The central front door is flanked by a wooden sash window on either side. An external brick chimney is centrally placed at each end of the cottage and a corrugated iron water tank is positioned on a tall tower alongside. A recent substantial brick and tile dwelling has been constructed at the rear of the cottage with additional accommodation in the form of a timber framed, metal roofed structure over an open garage for motor vehicles. Demolished as a result of construction of the harvey Dam (inundated)
The original Jardup homestead was one of several homes built by one of the early pioneers of the district, Ephraim Clark. It was built in 1849 and later purchased by William Sutton in 1890. The present owners, Mr. and Mrs. George Morris have restored the property.
