Commercial Building, 103 Market Street, a single storey masonry and zincalume commercial shop dating from the 1900s, has aesthetic value for its contribution to the streetscape and the surrounding area, and for its unusual landmark zigzag facade. It is historically significant as a representation of commercial buildings in the Fremantle area.
Commercial Building, 103 Market Street is a single storey, rendered brick and zincalume building, with an unusual zig zag frontage and a zero setback from the pavement. The main entrance addresses the corner, and the façade features tall shop windows on each angle. There is a zincalume awning, and a simple parapet.
Medium degree of integrity (original intent partially clear, current use compatible, high long term sustainability). Medium degree of authenticity with some original fabric remaining. (These statements based on street survey only).
Condition assessed as good (assessed from streetscape survey only).
