The site is significant on the following grounds: HISTORIC: 1. The site provided entertainment for early settlers. Its sale provided major funds for the creation of the Greater Sports Ground in 1920.
Located on flat ground to north of Narrogin Brook, with avenue of Eucalyptus cladocalyx (Sugar gums) leading down from Yilliminning Road on western boundary of Narrogin AA 164. A bush shed with thatched roof was at race course.
