Statement of Significance
The cottage represents a typical worker's cottage of the era and is a reminder of the former Millbrook Hotel. Consideration to be given in its association with the historic Jarrahdale townsite.

Four-roomed cottage overlooking Mill Brook.
History
c1880 The cottage was originally situated on Jarrahdale Road, next to the old Millbrook Hotel, Jarradale’s second hotel, was located. The cottage was owned by Sylvanus Benjamin (Ben) & Annie Buckland from their year of marriage in 1922. Previously the site of the bakery for Jarrahdale, Arthur James and Mary Ann Gordin (nee Mead) ran a bakery business from 1895 -. The cottage was moved to it’s current location by the Murray family.
Integrity/Authenticity
Modifications: Brick ablution block to the rear. Cottage has been relocated. Additional living areas to the Eastern side.
