Although somewhat compromised in terms of integrity this house contributes to the street and also « demonstrates the capacity for places of middle order heritage value to accept change.
An early c 1909-10 bungalow with "Arts and Crafts" overtones with a verandah across half the front and down the west side. The latter supported on heavy battered piers and posts. The walls are painted brick with stucco strings, sills and scrolls. Windows are in groups of three or two and are side-hung casements. There is a roundel by the front door with stained glass. A first floor has been added in 1991-2.
The current owners came to lease the house in 1976. Some interior work was done at that time. An extension had already been undertaken before this of a laundry, a new kitchen and shower. A verandah was also constructed. The old verandah became a family room. In 1991-2 major extensions designed to be in sympathy to the house were undertaken by the architect Caroline Marshall. These comprised a second storey, and modifications to the ground floor and were for D.M. Symington who purchased the house c1981.
Integrity reasonable Modifications pre 1976 extension to rear and in 1991-2
