White Gum Valley Primary School, Hope Street, a single storey limestone and tile school building surrounded by ancillery buildings, play grounds and grassed areas, has social value being representative of the improvement in educational opportunities for Fremantle's children. Aesthetically it is representative of typical school buildings designed by the PWD in this period.
Single storey stone, brick and brick quoining and tile hipped and gable roof and two brick chimneys primary school. The windows are mostly timber multi paned sash.
