Statement of Significance

An elegant well kept home which would be even more important than it appears at present if the landscaping were not so dense.

Physical Description

Dwelling has been demolished. Banksia, A tuck-pointed and bay roughcast rendered house, 1903-5 with a hipped and gabled concrete tiled roof dominated by its roughcast-rendered north-facing gable. It has a verandah across the front which returns down both sides. Windows are timber, side-hung casements in groups of three or two. The garden is filled with peppermint and pepper trees.

History

In 1905 owned by estate of Alex Forrest, rented to Mrs Ramshaw. It was listed in ratebooks as a weatherboard in 1908 so this could be a later building or there is an error in the rate book.
