Statement of Significance

For information on the significance of the Park Street Heritage Area refer to the Local Planning Policy for the Heritage Area.

Physical Description

Mid - late twentieth century development

History

This site was previously occupied by a corner shop, which would have served the local community. This had been established as a butcher shop by 1921, and was operated by George Fair (who lived next door at 138 Bagot Road) until at least 1949. An analysis of a historical Metropolitan Sewerage Plan (dated 1927, updated 1955) and historical aerial photographs (dating from the 1960s to 1970s) indicates that this site was fully redeveloped in the period c.1965-1970.

Condition

Based on a streetscape inspection the building appears to be in a good condition.
