Building forms part of remnant building stock which makes up historic town's centre.
Single-storey brick and iron villa c.1898 over early clay pit. House bricks were made on-site. House has cellar.
R. J. Wilson lived in this house. He was Mayor of Guildford 1899-1900 and 1902. Formed committee to secure electric lighting for Guildford. Well known builder. House was used for a while as Nurse Daltons Hospital for general and maternity cases.
