Statement of Significance

The place represents associations with the vital water supplies in the North Lake Grace area.

Physical Description

The white dam had concrete walls and floor with concrete spillways. It had a corrugated iron galvanised roof.

History

The dam was originally a government dam to supply water to the settlers in the area. There are very few covered dams still in existance today. They were covered to reduce evaporation and keep the animals from using and fouling the water.
