Statement of Significance

This building has historic and social significance. This hotel is not built on the original site of the first hotel which was situated at the entrance of the town. The original hotel was burnt down and a man was killed during the fire. The next hotel, built on the present site, was also badly damaged by fire. It was rebuilt and extended at the same time, prior to WWII. Today the hotel is owned and managed by the Bullfinch Country Club. It is currently leased out.

Physical Description

The Bullfinch Hotel is situated on the southwest corner block in the main street of Bullfinch. It is a single storey building with extensions added to the rear. It is built of red brick and corrigated iron. The verandah is supported by steel posts. The main entrance is situated on the Chamfered St corner of the building.
