The place represents associations with the earliest communication facilities in Burakin. It has associations with commercial enterprises and early identities of Burakin.

The place has been extensively renovated.

History

n 1929, Wesfarmers built and opened a branch in Burakin, and the post office opened at that place. P Mann was the Wesfarmers manager who also operated the Post Office. A Telephone hook up was arranged between the WAGR and PMG. The Post office was located in the Miller's house. Later the Harewoods who were of the Salvation Army faith, took over the post office and the premises. A telegraph post is still evident in Robinson st opposite the hall.
