Aesthetically significant as an example of Fremantle’s vernacular architecture. Typical single storey cottage dating from the first decades of the twentieth century. Historically significant as a representation of working people’s living conditions in the Fremantle area. Has undergone significant alterations but original form remains intact.
Single storey rendered and zincalume hipped roof house. The roof has a brick chimney and extends over the verandah which returns on the south side and is supported by rendered columns onto low wall balustrades. There are additions to the rear of the house.
A cottage is recorded on this lot (62 of 39 of 7) in 1900. On file at the Local History Collection: Photos from 1979 and 1993.
