The place demonstrates a way of life in association with railway transport. It is significant as the last remaining example of its type in the state.
Timber framed and weatherboard clad freestanding room with a curved corrugated iron roof and an awning along the platform frontage. It is typical of the railway shelter buildings of the early 1900s.
The Ladies waiting room originally served as the Kondinin Railway Station until 1921 when a new station was built. The station and waiting room indicates the volume of traffic which was conducted at the Kondinin Railway station at that time. The Kondinin Ladies Waiting Room is the only such purpose building in the state still remaining insitu.
