Statement of Significance

The place is significant for the following values: Aesthetic Value: The hall has aesthetic significance as an attractive 1966 corrugated metal district community hall. Social Value: The hall has social significance as it is highly valued by local communities who have used the hall since 1905.

Physical Description

A simple rectangular building with several smaller additions and a front portico comprising of a pleasant arrangement of stepped forms. The building appears to be a framed construction with a corrugated roof and cladding. The roof consists of asbestos sheets and double hung sash windows are on the sides of the building. The building is set in a clearing on the side of the main road.

History

The first hall was built in 1905 and was pulled down and replaced with a new hall in 1966.
