The quarry and the crushing of the stone made a significant contribution to the communications in the State with the upgrading of the Albany Highway, one of the major transport links in W.A.
Situated about 7kms from Williams and on the west of the Albany Highway (75 metres). It is about 200 metres north of the quarry. The site has a number of 9arth ramps and excavations with timber remnants. Since its use a number of York gum seedlings have grown on the site.
Stone mined at the quarry would be transported to the crusher and the product would be used to surface the roads when bound with tar. A number of drums which held the tar can still be seen in the area.
