This bench was installed on behalf of the Wyndham community as a tribute to the efforts of the regions' pastoral pioneers and overlanders. Its significance lies in its direct link with the early pioneering pastoral industry of the Kimberley and particularly its contribution to the establishment and growth of Wyndham.
The memorial is located in O'Donnel Street in the port town of Wyndham, in front of the old hospital/regional prison building. The memorial consists of a bronze frieze of cattle and mounted stockmen.
