Statement of Significance

The site has associations with the Freemasons in Cadoux.

History

In 1954, a Cadoux branch of the Masons was formed, fundraising for a hall began, and regular meetings were held at the Cadoux Hall until their own hall was constructed in 1968. During the construction of the hall in 1968, considerable damage was caused by the Meckering earthquake. The Cadoux Masonic Lodge was opened in 1969.
