Statement of Significance

The site is significant in representing the railway line and associated transport and occupational activities of way of life in a town that no longer exists.

History

The wheatbin in Bilbarin was reputed to be the longest CBH bin in Australia. The Railway reserve also had a Fettlers camp, the sheep yards, the bagged wheat depot (there are still remains of the road into it), the goods shed and waiting shed, overnight stock yards, and the weighbridge. Nothing remains except a fence post.
