Statement of Significance

For over 90 years this school has met the primary educational needs of the majority of Mosman Park children. Although facilities have been regularly upgraded, several features of the school that remains important for the pas students and contributes greatly to the pleasing appearance of the school. The school had the first Parents' and Citizens' Association in the metropolitan area and the second in WA.

Physical Description

The main building is a red brick building with rendered banding, timber sash windows, brick chimneys, a corrugated metal roof and limestone foundations. Verandahs facing in towards the quadrangle have timber floors and timber, diagonal cross balustrades. Additions have altered the entrance to the school. Other smaller buildings are constructed from brick, metal and timber, in a variety of forms and from a variety of eras. A large Moreton Bay fig tree dominates the grounds and provides the major shade in the quadrangle.

New wing built to west 1919. Alterations 1984. Internal changes. Many outbuildings. 1997 addition to covered area.
