An imposing intewar house that stands as a good competent example of its time relatively intact.
Limestone foundations and retaining walls with rendered brick walls over. The interwar house has a tiled roof using hips, gables, gablets and terracotta finials. The verandah is under a brokenback roof. A short balustrade and short Tuscan columns supporting the roof structure. Side hung casement windows are in clusters of threes.
Built by Robert Noel Schwaaze [later Stone], Perth jeweller in 1927 on one of four blocks he owned on this comer. The house is still owned by his son Noel Trevor Stones. Line drawings of it have been done for the Post Newspaper. Plans and specifications are held by the family.
