As part of the Katanning Research Station, Sandy Block has some scientific and social value as a research station but has little historic value to its recent establishment
Comprises one agricultural building associated with the Kununurra Research Station. The building is a rectangular plan corrugated iron Machinery shed with a low pitch skillion roof.
