The place forms part of the remnant building stock which make up the historic town's fabric.
Single-storey Edwardian shop fronts built 1905. Shops have many original features including re-entrant doors and façade pediment. The shop forms part of a row of turn of the 20th century shop fronts. The front verandah is not original.
The building is an important component of the traditional commercial centre.
