The Police Station House has architectural and historical significance. The dwelling was built to house the officer-in-charge of the Police Station when the police services relocated from the Barracks. The house has survived some of Kojonup's worst floods over the years and is still used as a police residence. The Police Quarters has a strong sense of place, in conjunction with the adjacent Police Station and Courthouse, having been the site of the police presence in Kojonup since the early 1900s.
This rectangular shaped, Federation Bungalow style house is situated on Albany Highway next to the Police Station and Courthouse which have been built on the site of the old police station. Built on a brick foundation, it has very thick walls which appear to be rendered brick but are more likely to be rammed earth/stone. The windows are small with timber frames. The steeply pitched gable roof extends to cover a front verandah, with timber flooring and posts, which has been partly enclosed with shade cloth. There is a timber extension to the rear and two large cypress trees grow in the front garden.
Built in 1907 to house the Police officer in charge, and still used as police accommodation.
