Limited significance because the shop has been relocated, and possibly significantly modified. However, significant for its association with the opening of the timber industry in Jarrahdale which was the basis for the development of the Jarrahdale townsite. Associated with the group of historic buildings in the historic Jarrahdale townsite.
A single-storey building with high-pitched gable broken back roof forming front veranda, two large front windows on Jarrahdale Rd.
The original store was built c1890s to service the mill workers. The store has been relocated to its present site. Jarrahdale General Store is now a popular stop for travellers and locals looking for refreshments, general groceries and a social place to meet.
MODIFICATIONS: Rear lean-to enclosed in an extension. The shop was relocated to this site - date unknown.
