The place is aesthetically important as a representative element and a railway installation dating from the 1920's and significant for their architectural characteristics. They are historically important through their association with the former steam railway and it's significance in the development of hte town and the district.
Brick and corrugated iron, The residence is the amalgamation of two former inner city Perth terraces, brought to Tambellup brick by brick and reconstructed on site.
It is in use as the head quarters for the Wool Foundation since 1991.
