26090 Holland/Forrest Street Heritage Area
107 Holland Street is a single storey painted brick and Zincalume hipped and rough cast rendered gabled roof asymmetric constructed house. There is a painted brick chimney with corbelling and the verandah is supported by timber posts and brackets. There is a high limestone wall to the front boundary.
In 1914/5 the cottage on Lot 1562 was owned by the Worker's Home Board, and occupied by Andrew Cassidy. He lived there until c1928. The 1914 Sewerage Plan (No 2118) shows three identical houses in plan (Nos. 103, 105 & 107); a brick house with a half-length front verandah on the west side and another along the rear. There are some small outbuildings. The house was originally number 178, and became number 107 when the whole street was renumbered in 1937. Another long-term resident was Mrs Win Coppinger (c1935-1945). Aerial photos show that the house was extended between 1995 and 1999.
