Statement of Significance

The place has aesthetic value for its use of classical architectural detailing in pleasing proportions that creates visual interest and contributes positively to the streetscape of Maritana Street.

Physical Description

The original building is a single storey building designed in the Federation Free Classical style, and built to the building line of Maritana and Brookman Streets. The facade features elliptical and semi-circular arched head openings connected at their springing points with mouldings. In recent years, a double storey extension has been added at the rear.
