Statement of Significance

The place is significant as it is a burial site - one of a number of lonely graves in the Shire.

Physical Description

The burial site is in a 150 acre paddock lying between the terminus of the Lime Lake East Road and Harvey Road. It is about lA kilometre from Bockaring Water Hole.

History

A shepherd died in this block which was then all bush. He was found sometime after his death. As his body was so badly decomposed a hole was dug alongside and the body rolled into it. This occurred before the turn of the century. It is probable that there is a connection between the shepherd and Bokaring Water Hole due to the closeness of proximity, and the era in which the death occurred.
