The site of the Railway Station, Station Master's House and Siding has considerable local historic significance for its association with transport in the district over the years.
Located to the west of Yarra Street, the original railway station has been replaced by a modern alternative. The Station Master's House has also been demolished.
The Midland Railway line was completed in 1894 and in. 1912 the Railway Station with residence was built. In recent years the Station building was demolished and replaced with a small modern building. [Bridie Evans, Carnamah Notes, 1995]
