The Denmark War Memorial has historic and aesthetic heriate significance. It was designed and built with an Art Deco influence. It is dedicated to those Denamrk residents who died in World Wars I and II, and the wars in Malaya, Korea and Vietnam.
The original brick War Memorial was the central wall with the clock. It was thought to have been erected after WWI.
The wings were added in 1953 to include the names of WW2 veterans who lost their lives. The Memorial Site includes a rose garden, and a seat is provided for those who wish to siet and reflect. In 2012/13 the War Memorial was reconstructed on the site such that it was located further away from the South Coast Highway/Hollings Road intersection.
