The place has historic value for its associations with the former wine saloon and other businesses and services that have occupied the premises. The place has historic value as a demonstration of the development of the town in the late 19th and early 20th century. The site has research value as it has potential to contain subsurface archaeological remains. The front facade has aesthetic value for its contribution to the streetscape of Stirling Terrace.
This building burnt down in September 2009 and was demolished except for the front elevation and verandah over the street with turned timber posts. It is a weatherboard facade with two shop fronts.
This was the site of the former wine saloon and Sandersons Vegetable shop, built c.1900.
Integrity: Low Authenticity: Low
Ruin - Very poor condition but is to be rebuilt.
