Jack’s Well has some historic significance for its role in the water supply for Cue. Management Category: Significant but not essential to an understanding of the history of the district. Photographically record prior to alteration.
This timber lined well is very overgrown with weeds.
As the population of Cue increased the government put down a number of wells. A windmill tank and trough were installed for stock use. Jack’s Well was used as a back up water supply for town wells 1 and 2. The equipment on site was still in use during the mid 1940s and the government disposed of the site in the late 1940s.
