The site represents the associations with the sheep and wheat industry and the railway transport network.
The railway first came to the Narembeen siding in 1917 on a line extending northwards from Narrogin via Yilliminning, Dudinin, Kulin and Kondinin. Narembeen siding was the railhead from 1917 until 1925 when the Merredin line was opened.
