Statement of Significance
The significance of the Precinct lies in the importance to Collie of the timber industry as a supplement to coal mining. The remaining cottages and church are demonstrative of a way of life and industrial function which is now past. The cottages and church are timber framed and weatherboard clad typical of timber towns.
Physical Description
The cottages and church at Buckinghams Mill are of timber frame and corrugated iron roofs. They represent what is left of a company town some 20km east of Collie. The mill was operated for some years by Bunning Brothers. The Church dates from around. 1920
