Statement of Significance

The place represents the beginnings of the school system in the Narembeen town and a way of life no longer practiced. The place is a surviving example of a school room of its period and makes a considerable contribution to the school precinct, and the character of the town of Narembeen.

Physical Description

Timber framed with weatherboard cladding and corrugated iron roof. The gable roof extends at break pitch over a verandah along one side. A lean-to verandah has a skillion roof.

History

This school room was the first purpose built school facility in the town of Narembeen. This is the second site for the school, the first being on the site of Moppett's Garage.
